Don’t Forget About Shows Once it Gets Cold and Snows!

As much as we all hate to admit it, with the onset of bitter cold and dark days, patio season is at its end. However, something that doesn’t end with patio season is local shows.

Every year I notice a steep decline in show attendance once winter sets in. Yes…it is nice to stay inside on the couch in sweatpants sometimes…but the local scene needs your support year round, not just when it’s nice out. I’m not recommending that you drive in a blizzard (the show will probably be canceled anyway), but let this serve as a reminder to do yourself a favor. Do a local band a favor, do a local venue a favor, do a friend a favor, and get to the gig.

Even if it is cold and dark.
