Lowell’s charm derives from so many sources of culture. There’s a feeling of community that runs deep within it’s businesses and the people that facilitate it’s opportunity. This October, The Town and The City Festival is coming to Lowell as an act of fall celebration, connecting a love of art and music throughout the city. This inaugural festival, held on Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th holds a special place of pride in it’s heart for Jack Kerouac, one of Lowell’s most notorious progenies. “All human beings are also dream beings. Dreaming ties all mankind together.” This labor of love is realized in a weekend of celebration.
With a variety of venues in downtown Lowell participating, this two day festival will showcase multiple local artists and musicians doing what they love. Venues like Coffee & Cotton, The Luna Theater, and Uncharted Gallery are just some of Lowell’s finest participating in The Town and The City Festival. With multiple bands playing at separate locations, there are Facebook event links included below. Some Lowell natives include Frank Morey, Idle Pilot, oldsoul, Phil Cambra and the Space Cadets, and many more.
This event offers two day passes at a discounted rate and individual show tickets. Two day passes are $45, single day passes are $32, with limited individual show tickets available so get them while you can! This event is brought to you in part by Porter Productions and the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau.
