Rock N’ Lowell Fest #4 is almost here and we’re happy to say that not only are we a sponsor like before, we’re outright taking over!
As you may or may not know, RNLF had traditionally been a Horse Mode led event and was created to have a fun day of showcasing Lowell area bands while simultaneously mixing in other bands throughout the state. However, this past winter, it was decided that there were too many good reasons not to put control of the event into the hands of The Lowell Spin.
For starters, the band members were already involved in The Lowell Spin in varying degrees so it wouldn’t feel too far removed. More importantly though, is the potential growth of the showcase by allowing greater community participation in it’s establishment.
Already things are changing. Lowell Spin staffers unanimously voted to change to event from a single day event to a 2-night event. We have an entire new lineup to present featuring a slew of locals and non-locals, full bands and solo artists, and once again Berkshire Brewing Company is on board as an official sponsor.
Lastly and most importantly, we’ll be using the event as a fundraiser to help pay down the debts we incurred from our initial upstart and our site maintenance. We have many, many ideas on what we’d like to do for the local music community and we want to continue to provide the best coverage we can but unfortunately, we’ll need some funding to do it.
We’re beyond excited for our future and everything to come and we hope you’ll enjoy what we have in store for you May 4th and May 5th so in the meantime, here’s a taste of the great lineup we have in store:
